Down East Magazine: Huston Home Tour

We are so excited to share that the 1920s bungalow that Saer and his wife, Genell, have lovingly restored together over the years is featured in January issue of Down East Magazine. It’s been almost year since Saer, Genell, and their two boys, Keller and Riley, participated in the shoot that highlights their craftsman-style home off of Willard Square in the snow.

There are a few Huston & Company pieces highlighted in the article, including our Drop Leaf Dining Table, the Shovel Chairs, and a Collins Hall Table – all in cherry. Saer also designed, built, and installed the cabinets in the kitchen, including the white-washed ash uppers and the cherry lower cabinets that are also topped in cherry counters.

In addition to highlighting the impressive woodwork and furniture throughout the house, the article also calls attention to the Finnish barrel sauna in the family’s backyard that is used all year long, the 6×9 foot National Geographic map off the kitchen, an original oil painting of Saer’s, and a nautical-inspired block-and-tackle stairway door that Saer & Genell designed and crafted themselves.

We hope you’ll pick up a copy to read even more about this charming bungalow that the Huston Family calls home.
