Executive Desk for Sale!

About 15 years ago, we designed and built a custom executive desk for a local client’s home office. She had just purchased a lovely summer home here and it had a fantastic home library with handcrafted cherry shelving on 3 of the four walls and lovely views from the windows.

The room was quite large, so she wanted a large desk to center in the room. We designed the desk below; it looks as though the room was built around it. Indeed, our client had hardwoods installed in the center of the room to further frame the desk in its surroundings.

Now, our client is selling her summer home and sadly the custom desk can’t go with her. We have offered to help her sell the desk. Here is the pertinent information.

This desk was hand-crafted to last for many generations and has been lovingly cared for; it is in beautiful condition. As it has lived in a summer home, it has only been used for a few months each year. The photos here were all taken on November 25, 2013 (this week). I photographed it and looked it over myself and found no visible scratches, marks, or other defects.

This gorgeous desk would be lovely in a home office or corporate executive office, or as a reception desk in an office or library.

Once a new owner has been identified, Huston & Company will disassemble the desk for shipping. We are also happy to recommend trusted shippers who would be able to safely transport and reassemble the desk in its new home.

If we were to build a brand new desk today, just like this one, it would cost $17,190. It is difficult to find a comparable desk in the marketplace in order to determine a selling price. At Huston & Company, we feel it should fetch something in the neighborhood of $9,500. The owner will entertain reasonable offers.

If you are interested to see the desk in person (serious inquiries only please), please contact me, Kate, at Huston & Company and I will give you contact information for the owner so you may arrange an appointment. If you cannot make it to Maine to see the desk, you have my word that it is in the condition I’ve stated above.

We hope this unique and beautiful piece of furniture will find a suitable home.
