IT'S OUR 20th ANNIVERSAY!
We are very excited to celebrate 20 years of Huston & Company. Bill
Huston founded Huston & Company in 1988 in Poland Spring, Maine and moved
to our current location in Kennebunkport in 1995, where we continue to design
and build unique, long lasting and simply elegant furniture for clients
throughout the country. As the summer draws near, we are planning several
anniversary events here at our workshop and showroom. Please check back to learn
more about these events so you can celebrate with us.

National Association of Independent Schools. We have exhibited at NAIS

Maine Wood 2008 - Rockport, ME - WRAP UP
Center for Furniture
Craftsmanship
Huston & Company was selected to be a part of Maine Wood 2008,
the first-ever statewide, juried exhibition of contemporary Maine woodworking.
The exhibit took place at the Messler Gallery at the Center for Furniture
Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine, November through March. Two of Bill Huston's furniture designs
were chosen for this exhibition: the Curva
Console Table and the Duo Bed.
Maine Wood 2008 included juried works from many of Maine's woodworking
disciplines: furniture makers, turners, carvers and sculptors. The variety of
design and materials represented was impressive. It was a privilege to be
included.
News from our Showroom and Workshop
Ah, Spring is on her way. It's raining instead of snowing and we can see the
ground for the first time in many months. It's been a long winter here with over
20 snowstorms and cold temperatures. Our shop has been very busy this winter and
continues to have a full workflow into the spring. In the showroom, we are
preparing for an exhibit of artwork by Pamela
Johnson through the summer, beginning July 11. Not to mention this year is Huston &
Company's 20th ANNIVERSARY - so we are in the planning stage for several
anniversary events for later this summer. Please check back for updates on these
events.

Sara Schneidman Rugs - The wonderful, bright, colorful rugs that we've displayed and sold in our showroom and at tradeshows for years are being discontinued. If you've ever thought about purchasing one, now is the time. We have a limited supply left here in the showroom (all at 10% off). If you are interested in grabbing one up before they're gone, give us a call and we can tell you what we have available.
In place of the discontinued line, Sara
Schneidman has a new line of Tibetan Rugs. We have a handful of the new rugs in
the showroom now. These new rugs are handknotted in Nepal of 100% Himalayan Wool
or a wool/silk blend and very luxurious. The Tibetan Rugs are made of custom
dyed yarns and, as always, designs come from Sara's original artwork. Give us a
call if you'd like a brochure showing Sara's new rugs. In the meantime, here is
an example of the new designs:
